This Aegex Technologies “conference” was unlike any industry event you’ve ever attended. More of an “experience” than a conference, “Operation Convergent Response #OCR2017” was as close as you can get to real-life hazardous locations and real disaster scenes without being in an actual oil refinery, chemical plant or disaster area.
Aegex teamed up with Verizon, Nokia and some 40 other technology providers to orchestrate this interactive event that showcased the single largest, real-world IoT test environment hosted at the Guardian Centers’ 800-acre facility in Perry, GA, USA.
OCR2017 was an opportunity to witness firsthand the power of emerging IoT technologies, including IoT sensors, advanced communications, robotics, artificial intelligence and more, and to discover how technology and innovation investments can bring big data to life while offering value for daily operations, as well as in extreme situations.
IoT Immersion: During this exciting 2-day event, some 400 attendees representing technology companies, manufacturers, industrial operations and public safety organizations- Explored, learned and interacted with new technologies, plus learned in-the-field steps for planning and implementing an IoT/Industry 4.0 strategy.
- Met and interacted with industry and government leaders and experts from around the world.
- Experienced simulated disasters (flood, chemical plant collapse, subway explosion, terrorist attack) and watched rescue efforts while observing how existing and emerging technologies might be applied to solve complex problems.
All attendees interacted with technology that can be repurposed, reutilized and adapted to accomplish more for their business.
